Kelalong Dam

Kelalong River (Sungai Kelalong) is located about 20km north-east of Bintulu, Malaysia. Sarawak Public Works Department engaged GHD to conduct preliminary design; geotechnical investigation; review of hydrology and reservoir yield; detailed design of embankment, spillway and outlet works and bidding; and award assistance for the dam and associated works.

The dam has a reservoir capacity of 33,680Ml at the full supply level of E130m. It comprises the main dam, saddle dam, concrete lined open channel spillway and an outlet for peak release.
