Des
Whybird – Chairman Des was appointed
to the Board in 1999 and has more than 35 years experience in
design and management of transportation and water infrastructure
projects as well as buildings and tourism developments. As
Chairman, Des is responsible for policy development and
relationships with key stakeholders as well as leading and
reporting on the performance of the board in respect to GHD's
strategic direction and corporate governance. Prior to his
appointment as Chairman in 2008, Des was GHD’s Chief Executive
Officer. |

Ian
Shepherd – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ian has been
a Director of GHD Pty Ltd since 1999 and has over 30 years’
experience in engineering and project management. Ian was appointed
Chief Executive Officer in mid-November 2008, and is responsible
for the implementation of GHD’s strategy – Accomplish More
Together. Prior to Ian’s appointment as CEO he was General Manager
of Australia having held this role from 2003 to 2008, as well as
General Manager for the Middle East from 2005 to 2008. |

Peter
Wood – Deputy Chairman and General Manager, China & SE
Asia
Peter was appointed to the Board in 2002 and has spent 35 years
specialising in geological and hydrogeological projects, with
particular focus in geotechnical risk assessment and management.
Peter has considerable experience in a number of Asian countries
and has been instrumental in establishing and growing our presence
in China. Peter is also Chairman of GHD’s Strategy Committee. |

Russell
Board – General Manager, Australia and New Zealand
Russell has 30 years’ experience in planning, design, and
construction of major infrastructure projects. He has previously
managed GHD’s Northern Territory and North Queensland practices,
and more recently GHD’s practice in New Zealand and the South East
Asia/ Pacific region. Today, Russell is responsible for leading the
company's operations in Australia and New Zealand. |

Pat
O’Dwyer – Global Market Leader for Energy &
Resources Pat has been a director of GHD since 2005.
He has 20 years experience in servicing energy and resources
clients, particularly in developing and delivering major projects
in copper, gold, coal, zinc, aluminium, lead, oil and gas. For 18
years prior to this, Pat was working in mining and refining
operations developing mines and as Deputy General Manager of the
Risdon Zinc Refinery in Tasmania. |

Nick
Apostolidis – General Manager, Client
Development Appointed to the Board in 2002 Nick
brings over 30 years’ international experience in consulting, in
particular the water sector which he led for the past 10 years.
Nick is a director of Water Australia and was recently appointed to
the Board of the Australian Green Infrastructure Council. In his
current role, Nick is responsible for the Global Market Sector
Leaders, Marketing and Innovation. |

May Ngui
– Industrial Electrical and Automation Service Group
Sydney
May Ngui is the manager of the Industrial Electrical and Automation
Service Group in Sydney. She has 25 years’ experience in the design
and commissioning of electrical and computer-based control systems
for industrial plants and infrastructure both in Australia and
overseas, and joined GHD in 1991. May has played an important role
in GHD’s technical development and was, until recently, the Service
Line Leader for Instrumentation and Control. She is a member of our
Technical Advisory Group and also provides support to Engineers
Australia’s professional women’s mentoring program. |

John
Baird – Operating Centre Manager, South
Queensland John joined the Board in 2008 and is
currently responsible for GHD’s South Queensland operations. He
joined GHD in 1977 after a short period with the Queensland
government and has worked on a wide range of civil and building
projects throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory. He has
been the Service Line Leader for Structures and the Business Group
Manager for Structures and Urban Development in Brisbane. |

Don Graf
- General Manager, Americas
Don Graf has responsibility for leadership and management of our
business operations in the Americas. He has played an integral role
in the growth of our business in the USA and Canada, in particular
negotiating four strategic mergers that saw our USA business grow
to more than 350 people in the past year. Don has more than 30
years experience in consulting with clients to address their
infrastructure needs, and in developing consulting engineering
organisations in the United States.

Robert
Knott - Canberra Operating Centre Manager
Rob Knott leads our Canberra operations and manages a team
responsible for projects in the Australian Capital Territory and
southern New South Wales as well as the Asia Pacific through
international development assistance. Rob has more than 23 years’
experience in the leadership of major projects in infrastructure,
defence, and property and buildings. |
